Lloyd and I grew up together in Greenfield. We started kindergarten on the same day, went all the way through Allderdice together. As kids, we built snow forts, had snowball fights, went sled riding in the alley behind our house, rode our bikes, went swimming, and hung out together for many of our young years. He was five days older than me, and I don't think a year went by that we didn't exchange cards and good wishes. When his granddaughter was enrolled at the School for Blind Children where i worked, our relationship became even stronger and took on a new dimension. He was a wonderful friend. I'm very sad he's gone, and I will miss him!
