Bess was one of my first friends. We lived on Dalzell Place and went to Linden School together. She was a sweet and beautiful person. May her memory be a blesssing
I only knew Bess in high school. She was nice to be around and always friendly. I remember her as being very smart. I imagine she brought a lot of joy to those she was with. I hope peace quickly finds her family and friends.
I lived up the street from Bess on Beechwood Blvd. I always liked her and enjoyed spending time with her. I remember that they had a goat - am I crazy in remembering that? BTW, it's Karen Fischer responding - my name is now Kari Fischer Uman
At Linden, Bess was my first date, c. 1962.. We went to a movie at The Manor, followed by pizza. A truly lovely very young woman. Living a block away on Northumberland (not Dalzell), I played basketball with her brothers in their corner driveway. (Keni, I remember your family living on the other end of Northumberland near Schenley Park golf course. I kept my clubs in your carage and played with your brother on the par 66 public course!)
By the way, fellow classmates, I'm in regular contact with Bruce Forry (now in his 90s, occassionaly beating his age on the gold course)
