Got to know Doug shortly after we graduated because he was my boyfriend's (Bernie Lynch) best friend. Doug ALWAYS made me laugh till my face hurt no matter what we were all doing. I was also in his wedding to Sandy Zumbrook. He continued to keep in touch with me even after Bernie & I broke up and years after I moved to VA. I STILL hear his jokes & laughter in my head - so hard to accept I'll never see him again even after all these years - he was special!
