OMG- I am now addicted to checking the site to see who responded and what they are up to- as well as reading the message forum.
And as far as concerts- who saw Guns N Roses and Aerosmith at Pocono Downs- how cool were we? Also, we have to remember cruising around the square-(Theresa Nocito and I would cruise in her Dad's brown Impala with a boom box listening to Bon Jovi)- we thought we were cool driving with the windows down- until chased by the police for going around more than 3 times!

How scary is it that "I Want Your Sex" by George Michael was shocking when it came out and now I can't listen to the radio without my girls getting more sex ed than we ever got in Health with Mr. Gurellia!

And Gina, moving the meeting up a week is fine with me. I know it would be helpful to get a date secured!

Oh yeah, on the Bon Jovi concert note, I didn't get to go but I'm pretty sure Joe Healy and I both had his long leather jacket. I think I remember Tara Mateucci having it too. Who else? and who remembers the "21 Jumpstreet" couple who magically appeared Senior Year? Their pics are in the yearbook!

HAHAHAHA....yeah...the "JumpStreet" couple were rumored to be narks and if I'm right they were rumored to have come from Connecticut. They were in my homeroom with Mrs. Ostrowski and they seemed to fight quite a bit.

Thanks for the info about the music. I like to think I'm technologically savvy, clearly not, LOL. I have to admit, I too am totally addicted to this site. A lot of life happens in the span of 20 years, it's great catching up.

Colleen,
Thank you for the correct website. Alisa your info led us to a Sunday Dispatch page. Linda, really did a great job with this. It is fun to read about everyone and where they are. By the way, when is the next meeting, and where?

Mistake the message is from me, Melissa. We are logged in on Joe's name, and this is what we do on Friday nights

I too was cruiser! Amy Salerno, Kelly Naperstack and I used to do the loop around the square and then over the Market Street bridge to the McDonalds. Amy had the bitchin Firebird. We would have the T-tops off and would blast the music. Kelly was a big Motely Crew fan so we played a lot of that.

I remember the '21 Jump Street' couple. I showed my better half their picture and explained our suspicion about them. She looked at their picture and said, "of course they're narca, the guy has to be at least 23!"

Does anyone remember their names?

01/31/09 08:26 AM #49

Linda Musto

01/31/09 08:28 AM #50

Linda Musto

That's right, you all did the Pittston to Rich's loop. Rich's changed quite a bit since we hung out there.

Kris - lets be fair here... my Impala was so big we usually had at least four more people in the car with us!! Never once cited for CRUISING... And BTW, I still have Bon Jovi playing in my cd player in my car. The Guns n Roses / Aerosmith concert definately was an eventful experience - Renee Shannon is a bad influence!! Kris - remeber my facination with DUFF!! SCARY

Just wanted to say "HI" to everyone. Being at this site is just like being back in school. Very strange! lol

Hey Linda, I was thinking, and maybe thinking too much, but it would be great to have something on this site that told us who was logged on, so we'd know who was here at the same time. Just a thought. =) Great work!

Maybe Larry Jacket was on of the narcs, although I don't remember any narcs of Larry Jacket either

Calling all classmates who still have prom dresses, rugby shirts, camo pants, herman survivors, bomber jackets, band uniforms, anything dayglo or acid washed..... wouldn't it be fun to recruit some of the current seniors to do a 15 minute "fashion show" at the reunion???

Alisa, I know that you still fit into your cheerleading uniform after three kids ( you witch ) so you can be the Heidi Klum of this PA Runway !!!!!!

Oh yeah, and Alisa, you stayed in Pittston doing the Pittston 500 trying to keep "The Flame" alive!!!! I did cruise with Susan but I think I spent more time in the back seat of George's car!!!

Mara McHugh (Matteucci)

I do remember them! we used to call them the 21 Jumpstreet couple. I can not remember their names but I am thinking her name was Sandra? and his name Leo? does that sound right? If anyone has a yearbook, they are on the bottom of page 27 but yet, they do not have a senior photo...hmmm.
one more suggestion. On other class reunion websites there is a link for "back then" photo albums. Can we have a page that has a place to upload oldies that we can all share? :)

correction on homeroom teacher regarding the narks. I remembered it was Mrs. Sepkoski's not Ostrowski. Old age setting in. Has anyone spotted our past teachers? Shelly and I see Mrs. Cosgrove alot cruising in her Audi TT and We see Mrs. Schilacci outside her house in the summer on Susquehanna Ave near Pride Mobility and Mr. Hopkins is a security guard at Prudential.

Mrs. Robach lives across the street from my sister on Broad St in Pittson. I see her lots when I'm home. In fact, she has sent gifts to my son during his treatment. To think, all the shit I gave her in school and she is actually a really nice lady.
