Vance Bradford

Gene was one of my closest friends while attending Plainview High. We played football together, and I remembered the conversations we shared prior going to our morning clases. I think the biggest thrill I received was when Gene came back from Vietnam. He wanted to show off his new car. We hugged each other on 17th street just a block away from the high school where we started our friendship. I remembered him joining the police force in Plainview, and he made a decision to work on his law enforcement degree at Wayland. He took his job seriously as a policeman, but he also knew how to have fun. We played games together and we shared evening meals together on game nights. The last time we met was at the 50th reunion.We bumped our heads together like we were playing football in our younger days at PHS. Oh, he will be missed. I prayed that his wife, his family members, and his friends will be blessed with the great memories of Gene. I am truly blessed for knowing Gene. Gene, thank you for the memories.  Vance
