Patsy Jean Goolsby, 72, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was born February 19, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to Owen Roland and Maimie Lucille (Lasater) Whitsitt. She attended Plainview High School and American Business College. She married David Goolsby on July 22, 1978 in Lubbock and together they raised their family. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone and later AT&T until retiring after 26 years of service. 

Those to cherish her memory are her husband, David; two daughters, Kimberli Harrison of Bedford and Kendelyn (Jason) Jessup of Odessa; five siblings, Shirley (Jack) Barnes, Rocille (James) McCain, Peggy Whitsitt, Owen (Jean) Whitsitt and Randy Whitsitt; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, McKenna and Katelyn Jessup; as well as her extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Albert, Andy, Maggie and Beverly.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with family receiving friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
