Allen and I were in marching band together, cruised the strip in the Silver Aspen and then his little black truck. Sat around town in various parking lots saving gas listening to music while watching others drive by. Hanging out in Blagg's old barn working on cars or just hanging out. The old Plano Theater watching matinee movies and riding our bikes all over town.

Allen and I were good friends all through grade school. We always sat right next to each other in all of our classes at P.H. Miller because of our last names starting with an "O". We just clicked and were always best of friends. As we got older we kind of went in different directions but I always remembered all of the fun that we had together. when I heard of Als passing I just couldn't believe it. How Al passed away was even more tragic. Al was a special person and I will always have lots of fond memories of our childhood together. You are missed Al!

I remember in flag football I had the ball and I was going to get a touchdown no matter what. I plowed into Allen full speed ahead and promptly fell on my butt and was knocked out!
Also, I taught Allen's son in second grade. He was a real sweetie. Every time I see Bug's Life, I think of Allen because the last time I saw him was at the show with his son.

I had no idea Allen passed away. What happened?
I was never clase to Allen, but he was always very nice and easy to talk to.
