Dr. Dennis Meade Kilgore, 57, of 105 Mill Creek Rd., Piedmont, died Thursday, August 27, 2009.

Born in Washington, D.C., he was a son of Helen Lucas Sheehan of Piedmont and the late Virgil Meade Kilgore. Dr. Kilgore was a graduate of West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Class of 1985 and a medical staff member of Greenville Hospital System since 2001. He was also a member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and the American Osteopathic Association.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 30 years, Dr. Teresa Jolley Kilgore; one son, Sean Christopher Kilgore; two brothers, Keith Michael Kilgore, of Piedmont, and John Richard Ogle and wife Marilyn, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a cousin, Joseph Schoen, of Phoenix, Ariz.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the service until 8:30 pm.
