John was a wonderful father and absolutely the best home builder I've ever seen - as close to perfection as a general contractor could be. He moved to Mississippi in 1990 in order to be closer to our son. He was in the process of a major life change when he transitioned to heaven in 1999. He had decided to live on a sailboat in the Caribbean for a couple of years and was winding down his businesses in Mississippi and was going to take our son that summer to find that perfect sailboat. He was struck by another boater in the Ross Barnett Reservoir in April 1999, forever changing our lives. He is most definitely missed!
