Diane Donna Clark, age 77, of Platteville, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville.  She was born on February 15, 1938, in Platteville, the daughter of Donald and Georgia (Wedige) Clark.  Diane graduated from Platteville High School and furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where she earned her teaching certificate.  She taught for two years in Janesville before coming back to Platteville where she taught English for over 30 years at Platteville High School.  After helping her mother and aunt in Wedige's Badger Bar for many years, Diane became a partner and then sole owner.  Wedige's Badger Bar was founded in 1906 by her grandfather, George Wedige.  Diane enjoyed telling the history of the bar and often worked six days a week with very long hours.  She enjoyed traveling, exploring new restaurants and visiting green houses.   Diane also enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens.  She loved her adopted family and her two cats, Peter and Callie. 

Survivors include her special friend and companion, Kevin Cardin; her adopted family, the Cardins:  Helen, Dennis, Drew (Chrissy), Teela (Tim) Heiring and their son, Ridge, Teanna, Tasha, Paul Tyler, and numerous cousins, friends and patrons.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.
