Doreen A. Risley, 68, of Danbury, formerly Lake Carmel, NY, wife of William T. Risley, died on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Danbury Hospital.
Born in Mt. Vernon, NY , May 7, 1946, daughter of Edmund and Dorothy Graham, Mrs. Risley as a child relocated with her parents to Daytona Beach, FL. , returning to Westchester County, NY where she attended local schools and graduated from Pleasantville High School in the Class of 1964.

As a Danbury resident, Mrs. Risley was employed with the Danbury Board of Education as a Special Education tutor for 12 years. She was passionate about the special needs kids she cared for. She reluctantly retired two years ago.
She was a loving and caring person with a heart bigger than her body. She loved all animals and would never turn any animal in need away. She loved to cook and had an open door policy for anyone to come and enjoy.
In addition to her husband Bill , of 47 years, she is survived by a daughter, Kristi O'Malley; two sons, Paul Risley and William Risley, Jr; a sister , Barbara Walsh; a step-brother, Bradley Franke and three grandchilddren.
