ALTA LOMA - Debra Ann Boscardin, 49, of Alta Loma died June 14, 2002 at home. She was born June 10, 1953 in Forest Park, Il. to to William and Virginia Bartz. In 1958 she moved with her family to Pomona, graduating from Pomona High School in 1971. She received her A.A. degree from Chaffey Community College in 1977, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development from Cal State Fullerton in 1980. From 1989 through 1995 she ran her own day care business from her Ontario home where she lived for 25 years. From 1995 until her death she worked for San Bernardino County in the Human Services System of Behavioral Health, Perinatal Program in Chino. She was a Child Care/Site Coordinator where she developed the current Perinatal Program to help children and their parents. Deby was a giving person, always ready to pitch in and help, always with a smile. She was passionate about the care and development of all children. She was a devoted mom, loving daughter and sister. She will be greatly missed by family friends and all who knew her. She is survived by her children Brianne and Kevin Boscardin of Alta Loma; mother Virginia Bartz of Pomona; sister and brother-in-law Cathy and David Rice of Concord; nephew and his wife Aron and Heather Rice of Walnut Creek. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. June 20 at Church of Our Heritage, Forest Lawn, Covina. In lieu of flowers donations to the Inland Empire Hospice Program, 9961 Sierra Ave., Fontana, Ca. 92335 in memory of Debra Boscardin would be appreciated.
