Gabriel Anthony Ferrer Jr.

Gabriel Anthony Ferrer, 60, of Alta Loma, CA, died, May 31, 2013, peacefully at home surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born February 21, 1953 in Havana, Cuba and lived in Rancho Cucamonga the past 37 years. He worked as a mechanical engineer in the industrial pump business for 39 years. He was an active member of St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church. Gabe's hobbies included bike riding, model ship building, and most recently tending to their backyard vineyard. He is survived by his wife Patty of 39 years, daughter Tricia Ferrer (Mike Thompson), son Gabriel Ferrer (Nicole), 4 grandchildren, Andon, Jade, Liam, Colin, his sister Sylvia Wackerman, and a large extended family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Lydia Ferrer and his sister, Lydia Ammler. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Mary's Mercy Center Christmas Bike Program, P.O. Box 7563, San Bernardino, CA, 92411.
