Sweet Mystery
written by Lamar Trotter in 1966

A man's soul is likened unto a flower or a blade of grass.
For when a man dies his body returns to the earth from
which it came. Then and only then is man's soul free
and beautiful; for all man's Goodness will be shown,
when one flower or a row of grass gro^os upon his
grave. Every day man looks at another man's soul in all
its beauty and splendor, but he knows not what he sees.
"Because man sees through a glass darkly," Therefore I
would say well done to any man who could help
produce one flower which would outshine Solomon in
all his glory. This man has everlasting life. Is it not true
that life's definition is change, everlasting. Compared to
the universe man lives as man but for a minute. In this
minute, man can become immortal; if he will, but love
one to the other. So we all in the lover's name, may
become one, in the end, which is also the beginning.
In Appreciation
We wish to thank you for the many acts of kindness
expressed to us in our hour of bereavement.

Sincerely,
The Family

It will be appreciated if those who drive
in the procession to the cemetery
will remember to turn on their headlights.
