February 26, 1945 - April 11, 2013

Morris Wayne Warren was born on Feb 26, 1945 in Linden, Texas to Swanita and David Warren Sr. He was the baby boy and his big brother, David Jr., happily embraced him. The boys spent their early childhood on the farm with Aunt Maudie until reunited with their parents in the early part of the 1950’s in Portland, Oregon.

It was in Portland where his life would fully bloom. His love for fast cars and the booming street life on Vancouver and Williams Avenue kept him on the move. His brother David would say, “I would buy’em – Morris would fix’em – we had the baddest rides on the boulevard . . . everyone gave us plenty respect.” He graduated from Jefferson High in 1963, married his neighborhood sweetheart Janet Eileen Parker on Oct 31st 1964, and had the first of two boys, Rickey in 1965, with Chico following in 1968.

Morris spent 35 years at Consolidated Metco, a division of Freightliner. He started in the foundry and worked his way up to a lead Machinist, before retiring in 2002. Morris spent his retirement years enjoying life with family and friends.

In the early morning hours of April 11th, 2013 God called his son home. Morris Warren (aka “Slim”, “Cadillac Slim”, “Mo”, “Mo Jr”, “Pete”) is survived by his loving wife Janet Warren; sons Rickey and Chico; brother, David Warren Jr.; grandsons Jordan and Myles; granddaughter Grace ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
