Calvin Shepard (Shepherd) was born 9/4/1951 and graduated in the class of 70. Upon graduation he joined the Marines and served as a Private 1st class Machine Gunner in Vietnam.Calvin was awarded a National Defense Medal and the All Marine Certificate.He was a Marine Boxing Champion,winning the All Marine Boxing Championship,the All Hawaiian Boxing Championship,the All Southern South and North Dakotas Championship and in 1983 at age 30 the WAA Bantam Weight (World Athlectic Association) Championship Belt. He is an inductee of the Gulf Coast Sports Hall of Fame...during his career he fought on 4 world title cards.Calvin passed away 7/29/1995.
