Since graduation, I’ve attended Manatee Community College where I majored in Computer Science. After graduating from Manatee, I attended the University of Florida where I had hoped to attend the College of Architecture. When that didn’t work, I then attended Tampa Technical Institute where I learned Computer-Assisted Design. After graduation in 1990, I worked in the civil engineering field for the next 18 years. I worked for Desoto County Engineering Department for the first eight years. I did design work for a couple of engineering firms and also Land Surveying in Sarasota. I was working for a civil engineer in Fort Myers until July of 2008 when I was laid off. I then obtained my Commercial Drivers License and am now doing Medical Transportation in Port Charlotte.
My wife, Candace and I have been married since January of 1991. We met my Freshman year in College in 1985 and we dated through college. We never had children but raised four cats, three of whom are deceased. After we were married, she finished her degree at the University of South Florida. She received her degree in history and is a avid book lover. She worked with the Charlotte-Glades library system until 2004. We love to travel and in 2001 we traveled to Greece where we visited family and took a cruise of the Islands.
