Jennifer, I have to admit to you.... I had already started last week to do a google search for different ones. I had to finally stop myself and realize I had things to do! Your not the only one. ;(

I hear ya.....it's definitely addictive. The bad news is that there is more to come. Plan on spending even more time on the website. Once we have the everyone logged on we'll begin surveying the class about both important and meaningless topics. Take Care.

See? See what this has done to me? I'm stopping in the middle of the road, obstructing traffic, to tell people about this site!! HA! (Saw Shane Sparks today, he lives down the road)
Kenneth - I'll send you my list of peeps and addresses from the last reunion from work tomorrow. I did the best I could then but it still wasn't a high percentage of found classmates. I'm sure with this and free cell long distance, we can track down a whole bunch!!

Just viewing the posts here and I, too, frequent the website on a regular basis. It is really cool and a great tool to keep in touch with one another. I have yet to get it in gear with the pcitures but I will.

Anyway, I can't wait to see everyone at our 20 year class reunion. I have already been thinking of ideas for entertainment and want to let you know of a local band. The name is Tip Jar Romeo. They play a variety of music from 70's, 80's and up. They are awesome and a lot of fun! The GNO (Girl's Night Out) group just went this past weekend to hear them play at Madden's after a recommendation from the O'Donnell's. They ROCKED! Anyway, they are playing for the 1988 20 year class reunion in Sept. Mike Kovarek is one of the band members. I spoke with him and tossed the idea out there of playing for our 20 year if the class agreed. He said that they would be interested and they are very affordable. They have a website at TJRRock.com. You can also hear some of their music on My Space. Check them out and see what you think. I think it would be a great time. If you ever hear of them playing, I recommend you to go and hear them. Talk with you soon! Meredith Caruso

This is VERY awesome! I just happened to come across it when I went looking for some information on Port Lavaca...and yes, like the others, I keep checking it! UGH!! The pictures are the best - they make me smile. Take care all. I hope to see everyone at the 20 year reunion (shhhhh, don't say it too loud - I'm still in denial that it's been that long!). :-)

Hey Gang! It's great to be back in contact; it brings back soo many memories. I didn't make the last couple, but hope to see you all at the 20th reunion. Has everyone seen this utube video? I thought it was kinda cool especially since I don't believe there is any crazy video of me lingering around anywhere...

Man, I remember when Magnolia Beach was the bomb, until going to Port A!!! And Heather, yes I thought Scott was the one too.

Hey y'all,
Thanks big time for this - I hadn't heard from anybody other than co workers or church mates in a long time, so this is great to see everybody here!

I was looking at the Jackson Elementary group photographs and I remember Kerry ***Clark*** and Miguel ***Barron*** or Baron with me in Mrs. Hollis’ 3rd grade class.

Speaking of elementary school:

Remember how we had to take turns reading out loud in front of the whole class? I hated that! I thought it was humiliating. I can remember counting the desks in front of me and then counting the paragraphs in the text book so that I could rehearse my passage silently before I had to read it out loud!

I was a seemingly good reader because I was better at other things. :)

(I think Shane Sparks was pulling a "Rebecca" over at his desk because I will never forget that day that he read, "Carnations! You have just won a beautiful bouquet of congratulations!")

Sorry, Shane, but that is actually one of my favorite memories from elementary school. I realized that I wasn't alone. ;) Great minds...

Hey, everyone, it's been great to get back into virtual contact with many of you after the last couple of decades. Good job, Kenneth. I've missed the past reunions, but I'm hoping to make the 20th. Does anyone have any idea when that will be?

I was told sometime in September.

I was talking to Jennifer Molina and we just found out that this year's Homecoming football game will be on Friday, Sept 11th against Floresville. Does that weekend sound good to everyone! It's already February so we need to get a committee started soon!

Give me some feedback!

September is ok however, I have heard a few mention that this is a bad time because of their children in sports, especially those who play football. We can leave it in September but I wonder if we would get a better turnout if we were to get together in August or later like late October. Just a thought.

Perhaps the reunion committee could post a range of dates and let us vote on what month would be best. It might be easier for those who do not live in Texas to travel with their families while school is out. How about early June? The highs are still in the 80's. :)

I would prefer a summer date. I don't have to travel that far, but it would be easier for people with kids to travel. Especially if it will be a two day event as in the past.

I would prefer a summer date as well. September is just too hard to do. There are too many things going on in September and I very likely won't be able to make it. My vote is for August if it counts for anything. ;)

A summer date would work better for my family also.
