The past 20 years: After graduation, I stayed in PL working for Carbide, Formosa, and BP Chemicals. I decided that if I wanted to make a living doing plant work, I need to go to school. So, I went to TSTC in Waco and got an Associates Degree in Instrumentation....ok...it took me 3 years, but I had fun those years...most important, I got my degree. I went to work in Matagorda for Loral Aerospace Co. as an electronic tech. I lived in Bay City for 4 months and it seemed like 20 years. So, I broke lease and moved to Lake Jackson and loved all two years of it. Then, I went to work at Formosa as an intrument tech and moved home to mommy - that lasted about 2 weeks and I moved to the big city of PL. Wow, just what I dreamed of doing and it was final...I lived in PL. For about 1 1/2 years I worked at Formosa and then I was hired on at Alcoa. I bought some property outside of town and lived in my trailer house that I picked up for a few thousand dollars. My wonderful son was born during this time - Jackson Nunley - my life has never been the same. I left the trailer after 2 years and moved to Victoria. I was there for..yep, you guessed it...two years. I missed PL so much that I moved back for one last time. I have been working at Alcoa for 11 years and I live a very simple life. I enjoy hanging out with my kid and his friends. We camp, ride motor cycles, 4 wheelers, and to this day I still love to load up an ice chest of beer and float the river.
