Christine was always nice to me in school even when I was not nice to her. When this personality is had by children it carries over to adulthood as I am sure it did with her. She will be missed. Our prayers are with her.
I'd like to share something a little personal. Christine and I did not get along well during our time at the Madeleine. Years later I ran into her at our St. Mary's Academy 30th reunion. After spending a lot of time catching up with each other, we came to the conclusion that sometimes it takes distance and time to understand childhood hostilities. We forgave each other, and I'm pretty sure we saw each other much differently than how we saw each other so many years ago. We laughed at how silly we had been. We talked about our families, our husbands, children and parents. By the end of the evening I felt like I had found a lost friend . A few weeks after the reunion, she died. While I feel like I lost a friend, I'm thankful for the opportunity we had to make nice with each other. Lesson learned: make peace when the opportunity presents, because it may be your only chance. Thanks for the lesson, Christine. Peace.
Christine and I were friends in 7th and 8th grade. We had skiing and Swiss heritage in common. I went to their familiy's cabin many times in Parkdale and skied at Mt. Hood Meadows with Christine and her family. We had alot of fun together. Christine was a talented artist and gifted musician, piano and cello. She was also smart. She loved her family and she died too soon.... They will miss her.
