Chris was born in Charleston, SC and raised by loving adoptive parents in Portsmouth, OH. He attended Notre Dame High School and graduated from The Ohio State University. He worked as a hydraulic/pneumatic sales application engineer and retired after more than 22 years with Parker Hannifin Corp, moving from Cincinnati, OH to Daphne, AL 12 years ago. He was a lifelong avid fisherman and spent many happy hours fishing with his friends and family. Chris was a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne and served as a Perpetual Eucharistic Adorer for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda Farmer Switalski; his nieces, Sherry Wyrick (Mark) Lute and Krissy McDaniel-Wyrick (T.J.) and a nephew, Jonathan Wyrick, as well as their children. He is predeceased by his mother, Edna Stir Switalski; father, Mark Switalski and sister, Mary Kay Switalski (John) Wyrick. A funeral Mass was held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne on Tuesday, April 9th.
