Any suggestion for the events?

The method for sharing your thoughts has been moved to this message forum.  This method works more like a blog where you can see all the inputs and have an opprtunity to respond.  Any data collected prior to this change is cut and pasted under "Early Survey Results" below:

Early Survey Results:

Stephen Schoenly:  Have an outstanding time and only remember the good times.
William Rozier:  Your plan sounds great. Just ask for Deposits!
Carla Raney:  Sorry, but the events have no appeal for me. I didn’t go to football games when I was at Churchill, and have no interest in going now; also not interested in a four hour cookout; and, since I’m coming from the west coast and not planning to rent a car, a trip to Clarksburg for a second cookout is infeasible. I enjoyed the ballroom at the Marriott that we had for the 40th, which was very easy for out-of-towners without rental cars. I also enjoyed the festive and more special-event mood of the ballroom. I understand what the committee is attempting to do, but it doesn’t work for me.
John Viqueira:  An alternative to Friday night might be to meet at a local establishment for cocktails and food. Last year the class of 68/69 met at the Rockville Ale house and it was a good event to start the weekend with. The Football thing is good also but some may not be interested at this point. I am good either way.
Bruce Radford:  Like what you have scheduled.

I could care less about going to a football game but going to a local establishment and hanging out, maybe have an adult beverage or two is rather appealing. Having a gathering in a hotel ballroom, the Marriott at the 40th worked great but the music was way too loud. Since I'll be driving back on Sunday I'll miss those festivities.

Friz,  We're rethinking the events that line up with your comments.  Stay tuned ...
