My dear friend, Cathie, passed away after a long battle with cancer on October 8, 2019. We were friends since we were 14 living in Carderock Springs. Cathie was a great friend-we always had fun and she was my first friend who had a car and drove us to Churchill. At the time, it was such a luxury not to take the bus. While in college, she met Donny, her wonderful husband. She lived in Seaford, Delaware near her family. Cathie was always upbeat and positive-even through all of her health challenges, she kept on planning and looking to the future. She was an inspiration for everyone who knew her-always happy to talk and visit, no matter how far away we lived from each other. She came to visit us in Florida several times and Marshall and I met Cathie and Donny at Tides Inn in Irvington, Virginia. She was a true friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her mother, Averill, husband, Donny, 2 beautiful daughters Kitty and Gigi (and their husbands), her brother and grandson, Carson-12 years old.

I remember Cathy so well. We used to walk thru Carderock, under age 16 smoking, as if no one could see us. RIP dear girl.

Always remembered going to Cathy's birthday party. I just got back from Germany and had it was hard to make friends in junior high. She invited me and I was sooo excited. We played guess the name of the famous person on your back by asking questions and we went duck pin bowling. Had a great time. RIP linda Dykhuizen Reish
