In Memory

Mike McFadden VIEW PROFILE

Michael D. McFadden-aka "Wickle", "Mouse", "McDougal". I met Mike when we were in 7th grade and were close friends in high school. After leaving for college I lost touch with Mike but in later years we got back together and fished on my boats out of Ocean City Maryland. I have laughed and cried with Mike and will cherish always my memories of him. Throughout his life, Mike had many accomplishments and defeats but he always worked to overcome his issues. His strength and perseverance should serve as a guide to us all that we can overcome. Rest in peace my friend. I will always love you.

Mike, (Mouse), (Wickle), and I went to Potomac elementary together, Hoover JH, Harker Prep and Winston Churchill HS. Then we went off to college together, East Carolina Univ. for a year until we got into business. We had many outrageously good times during those years of wearing younger men's clothes. I was sorry our relationship didn't continue as great friends but I can say when it was good, it was a blast. Mike was a bright guy, (National Honor Society) and a great athlete, (All Met in Soccer). He also was a very good partner in our business which became #1 in our industry with worldwide distribution. Ironically Mike died on my birthday December 3 when I turned 68 which means he and I knew each other for 58 years. My condolences to his wife and family.

I knew Mike from the large group of extended friends and associates that used to party around Potomac, doing things we barely admit to now. He had a playful sense of humor and always found something to laugh about. If a friend was in trouble or needed a helping hand, Mike was there even if it was to step in and diffuse an argument.  I looked at some of the photos posted by his close friend David Apple, and that sparkle was always in his eyes. RIP Wickle.

So sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I first met Wickle and his brother Bobby when my parents sent me to Harker for 11th and 12th grade. He was a hard charging little SOB. We played soccer togther and as Mary mentioned, did some serious P-Town partying. I watched him and Pete start their business before returning to California for good. I'm sorry I never made it back to see him. Rest in peace my man, you will be missed!!
