I'm very sorry to learn of Leonard's passing. A junior high and high school classmate, that's practically a life time. I used to run into him from time to time being a Derwood resident myself. Always a friendly smile and greeting. The last time I saw him, he and Leonard Sr. came to the Outta The Way Cafe in Derwood in late 2014 when they came out to see Don Owen and I perform. Jr. & Sr. looked like twins (that's a compliment to Sr. by the way) They both looked fantastic. And as always, a friendly smile and greeting....

Hey Charlie~

Thanks for posting the article with details of Leonard's Memorial Service on the 30th of December. The Potomac Hunt Club in Dickerson, Md is the place and 10am is the time.

Leonard was my classmate & one of my oldest friend.  At Churchill we shared our homeroom class,  "Petsche, Pinkerton & Price, nothing shaking but the bacon, MomMa don't lie, NOOO Sir!"

"Doctor Proctor" will be missed.

Love you Leonard~

Teddy

I am sad to hear of the passing of my childhood friend, Leonard Proctor. Leonard and I first met at Potomac Elementary and shared school years through Churchill.  He was the quintessentially well-dressed person whose caring and inclusive attitude benefitted many.  I have happy images of him running a relay at Field Day when we were young, clearing the dance floor with gusto at Churchill, and our last impromptu meeting in the Safeway parking lot when we recognized old friends.  He and his father shared numerous "Old Potomac" events that I attended with my family and we certainly ran into each other at Mitch and Bill's on many occasions. My deepest sympathy to Leonard Sr. as I stop to celebrate the life of Leonard, Jr.  In Peace... [Suzanne Kelley Doswell-Palm Beach Gardens, FL]

Leonard (Dr.) Proctor was as upbeat as you get. He was friends with everyone!! A great sports supporter of my endeavors and all the various sports teams. He and his father were some of Potomac's dignitaries, always visible, always helping. His elegant persona will leave an empty hole in the community. I am thankful for the memories and the years we had him around. RIP - Dr. Proctor!!!

My dear homeroom pal for so many years and dancing partner at so many school dances and parties. Always felt you were looking out for me. Thank you for your friendship. You have a very special place in my heart. Namaste.                   Pinky
