Presque Isle: Ronald J. Legassie Jr. 55 was called home on December 5, 2024 at a Bangor hospital with his daughter and brother by his side, after a long battle with his health.
He was born on November 2, 1969 in Presque Isle, the son of Ronald Sr. and Sylvia (Michaud) Legassie.
He was married to the love of his life Gloria (Gould) Legassie for 31 years.
He was a graduate of Presque Isle High School Class of 1989 and Northern Maine Technical College. He was one of the best mechanics around, working many years at Sear Auto Center as an ASE-Certified Mechanic.
Ron's love for cars started at a young age. He rebuilt his very first car, a 1973 Chevy Nova from ground up. This was one of the best and loudest muscle cars in the area, which he was very proud of.
He enjoyed anything outside, riding his dirt bike or ATV, camping, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with his family.
Ron and Gloria were high-school sweethearts who were seldom seen apart. They had an unconditional love for each other that is very rarely seen.
His only little girl Lacie, was not only his pride and joy but his best friend. They liked to explore new places together, listen to music and play video games.
Ron had a special bond with his favorite cat Tommy, who sure is going to miss his buddy.
He is predeceased by his wife Gloria (Gould) Legassie, his mother Sylvia, and a sister in law Billie Ann Roy.
He is survived by his daughter Lacie, father Ronald Sr., brother Michael, sister Pamela and husband Adam McNally, and brother in law Ken Roy.
He has six nieces and nephews Shaela, Kenzie, Colby, Gabriel, David, and Daniel.
