Country Gravy Posted Thursday, January 7, 2010 05:44 PM This is a very tasty gravy recipe. Perfect for biscuits and gravy! 1/2 C. vegetable oil 3/4 C. all purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ground black pepper 4 C. milk Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Cook and stir over medium heat until browned (about 10 minutes). Gradually stir in milk so that no lumps form, and continue cooking and stirring until thickened. If the grave becomes too thick, thin it with a little more milk. approx. 6 servings You can also add in drippings for variety in flavor. |
