PEARISBURG, Va. — Tammy Annette Whittaker, 41, of Pearisburg, departed this life Friday morning, June 14, 2013 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem after a long illness. Born in Mercer Co., W.Va. on April 21, 1972, she was a daughter of the late James Buck and Annie Lee Bower Thornhill.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Earl Lee Whittaker; her son Jonathan Wayne Croy of North Carolina; her brother Timothy Thornhill of Princeton, W.Va.; and her beloved dog Roscoe.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday evening, June 18, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the Rogers Street Community Church in Princeton, W.Va. with Pastor Gene Pennington officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the services.
