John Seurer

Those who knew John know he worked at Laker's Restraunt while attending High School, and continued on there after high school as a cook/manager.  He also attended Dakota County Technical College were he was a graduate of their accounting program.

Sadly on March 21st, 1994 on his way to his girlfriend's house he was in a car accident.  He was on his way to celebrate an upcoming job interview, but instead died of injuries sustained in the accident.

John loved his family and friends and was loved in return.  He was adventurous, and silly.  His true passion was for the great outdoors, and spent much of his free time hunting and fishing.  He could often be found on Friday & Saturday nights up at Hollywood enjoying a beer or two with friends.

It is with great pride we share with you that John was an organ donor.  In 2003 his family accepted a medal of honor from Governor Tim Pawlenty on John's behalf for his gift.  His family continues to be strong supporters of organ, tissue and blood donation.

John's favorite holiday was Christmas, so every year those who were close to him remember him by decorating a Christmas tree, then they are off to warm up with a cup of cocoa originally at Hollywood, but since it's closing relocated to Hooligan's.

For those curious, John's parent's still live in the same house on Colorado St. and are well.  His sister Holly married Mark Larson in 1998, they have 1 daughter.  His brother Greg is unmarried works at AMS Logistics, and shares many of the same interests as John did.  Finally his youngest sister Stephanie works as a counselor for troubled teens, and was married in 2009.

John's life may have been short, but his legacy lives on the those he helped, and in the memories of those he loved.
