John McKellar was a true Renaissance man.  He was just as comfortable on stage performing as Tevya in Fiddler on the Roof with my sister as he was tramping through the wilderness as a modern-day Jeremiah Johnson.  My mother still talks of him and reminds us of his birthday every year.  He introduced her to John Denver's music and she introduced him to  Willie and Waylan.   He was only with us a short time but he embraced life and shared the joy he found in all its wonders.  We could use more people like John  McKellar.
