I grew up with Dave and spent probably more time with him than anyone alive. Dave and I met in the fifth grade and knew each other well. A lot of people don't know about Dave's childhood so he wasn't as popular as a lot of kids but Dave didn't care. To Dave, school was a getting through it experience. Dave's parent's died when he was in the 5th or 6th grade; his Mom first and then his Dad. Mickey is the only family left now. The kids moved in with their Aunt and Uncle. Dave was honery but a loyal friend. I lost track of him after high school and I wasn't aware that he had died until I talked with a Viet Nam Army buddy of his who happened to be my brother's best friend. I didn't know that Dave died from an overdose but during the war we all had to adjust. I personally think that the adjustment and his life just got too much to handle. Dave is preceded in Death by his Mother, Father, Bill Stephenson(Brother), and his Sister Diane Stephenson but is survived by his younger Brother Michael, (Mickey) Stephenson who resides in Pueblo, CO the last I heard. He will be dearly missed by his friends.
