Brenda was my best friend in elementary school. I had no idea she passed away. I sit here weeping not only for her passing, but for the fact that I had something to tell her. Today I learn, never let the sun go down on a conversation you should have with someone. My lips are forever sealed; my heart will morn forever for my friend. G-d truly took an angel home. Born Jan. 25, 1959 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Martin Underwood & Charlotte Moore Underwood. She is survived by Companion of 24 years David Eugene Rupe, Pulaski; son Christopher Shane Lawson & fiancée, Rochelle Thompson, Dublin; daughter & son-in-law Monika & James Boyd, Delton; brothers Floyd Underwood, Jr., Pulaski; John Timothy Underwood, Pulaski; Wayne Douglas Underwood, Pulaski; sister Stephanie Lane, Radford; grandchildren Kasidy, Channing, Chamrion, Alex, Tyra, Bronzson and J.J.
Funeral services will be held Friday 1:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
