Roland Jackson “Jay” Cole, age 45 of Newbern Road, Pulaski passed away Tuesday evening January 3, 2006 at the New River Valley Medical Center. Born August 24, 1960 in Pulaski, Virginia he was the son of Roland Edward and Sylvia Ann Johnston Cole. His paternal grandparents, William “Bill” and Blanche Cole and maternal grandparents, Cooper and Myrtle Johnston also preceded him in death. He was employed with Findlay Industries, Dublin and had over 10 years of service with Renfro. Surviving are: his parents, Roland Edward and Sylvia Ann Johnston Cole, Pulaski; brothers and sister-in-law, William Cole, Pulaski, Brian and Karen Cole, Pulaski, David Cole, Pulaski; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Freddie Cox, Pulaski, Carol and David Duncan, Hiwassee, Mary and Jeff Riddle, Dublin; four nieces; three nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Carson Linkous and Rev. James Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.
