Tommy Joe Nash - Class Of 1965

Tommy Joe Nash went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 8, 2011. He died as the results of an accident that occurred whild burning trash/brush.

Tommy was born on February 16, 1947, to Ruby and Cecil Nash.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Kelly-Springfield Tire Company after 34 years of dedicated service.  He lived in the Chandler area for many years and spent much of his time after retirement putting his love for children to work as a substitute teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Cecil Nash; brother, Cecil C. Nash; sisters, Mary Lou McQueen and Ruth Ann Wood.

He was survived by his wife of 40 years, Pansy Nash; daughter, Tanya Nash of Chandler; son, Craig Nash of Waco; brother, John and wife Diane of Chandler; brother, Clarence "Bo" and wife Betty of Round Rock; brother, Jerry and wife Diana of Lindale; brother, Jacky of Quitman; sister, Dorothy "Dotty" Petty and husband Edward Petty of Kilgore; and numerous nieces and nephews and a community of friends and coworkers, all of whom he loved dearly.

Funeral service were on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Chandler with burial following in Chandler Memorial Cemetery.
