Marinel Gilmore, 84 of Quitman, Texas, entered the pearly gates of Heaven on April 16, 2022, in Tyler, Texas.

Marinel was born in Quitman, Texas on October 5, 1937, to Buford Hoice and Opal Authalia Bright. On June 2, 1961, at the age of 23, she married the love of her life, Billy Ray Gilmore. They were married 59 wonderful years before his passing in 2020.

Marinel will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and the hole left by her absence will be an impossible one to fill.

Marinel is greeted in Heaven by her parents Buford Hoice and Opal Authalia Bright; husband, Billy Ray Gilmore; two sisters, Norma Lee Blalock, and Sue Boyd Clemens; brother, Troy Bright; and son, Jeffrey Lee Gilmore.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, David Gilmore and wife Pam of Flint, Texas, and Michael Gilmore and wife Tammy of Quitman; brother Jimmy Bright and wife Sandra of Quitman; grandson Bradley Gilmore and wife Amy of Cypress, Texas; and great-granddaughter Tinley Mae Gilmore.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola with Brother Fred Morrow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Lowe-Gardner Funerals and Cremations
