Welcome to the Case High School Class Of 1979 forums. You can register for the reunion get-together from the 30 Year Reunion link in the left-hand navigation.

Food selections? Music/entertainment suggestions? Realistic pricing? How much is too much? Discuss your thoughts here, it's YOUR reunion.

Hello Everyone,

I was curious if anyone knows anything about Tim Pecore. I have tried to contact him for years, but have lost touch. Please let me know if you have any information.

Hi Randy,
No word from Tim, and we did not have an email address for him either. I'll let you know if we hear from him.

Thanks Steve, I really appreciate all your work on this website, it's great! I hope to travel to Wisconsin in August to see you, just don't if I can make it just yet.

I second the kudo's to Steve on the site. This is alot of work! You have done a great job. I know some people who graduated from Park the same year and they are just getting started and are no where near this organized. Is there a spot for posting pictures from "way back when?" I have a few stashed away and I'm sure there are others who have a few photos to help us remember those HS years! Thanks again Steve and others involved in the planning of the reunion.

Connie,
There is! On the left-hand navigation, under Member Functions there is Edit/Upload pictures. You need to be signed in to see the member functions. These go under your profile.

However, there is no "Gallery" function where anyone can post them to one page....YET. It is one of the planned upgrades for the site.

I will be able to go through and get all the individual pictures though, and and working on a work-around in the meantime (like hosting it somewhere else like Picasa or something). Jim Windsor has offered to make a slide/video show to perhaps be used at the party too, which I am sure we can post here eventually.

OK, so what if the song, My Sharona, was number one in 1979 according to Billboard. Please can we find some Earth, Wind and Fire or Aerosmith?

Yeah, I thought about it, we'll need some Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson (70s though), and a little Billy Joel for Gabbey, lol.

Since the big-wigs seem to have a problem posting it, send me a copy and I'll create a page for it. I think it deserves it!

Hi Jehan and Becky,
Let me know if there is any other music requests. The DJ seems like he will be fun to work with. I will pass along the requests. Hope all is well with you both.
Steve--site looks better everytime I visit!

- #28 on top 100 is Billy
- Aerosmith is in the rock mix, 2 or 3 from Toys
- Floyd is tough to get. The place I'm set up with now just has some symphony versions
- SuperTramp is in the rock mix too
- Top 100 is a weird mix, can't figure out or believe a lot of them.

I'm checking out some other avenues. Meanwhile, keep the suggestions coming.

Gotta do more scanning, seems to be no time.

Hello Everyone.... I Case 77 graduate turned me on to the site!! Did the class have a 10,20,25 reunion? Kind of neat seeing all the old pictures, people and events that happened in our past!!

04/10/09 12:28 AM     #18     EDIT     DELETE

Steve Jacobson

Hi Todd!
We had a 5, 10, 20 and now 30.

That's neat that a 77 grad got you here. You never know. Getting the word out is the hardest part, but there are people signing up every day, just not a real lot.

On that note, if you know anyone else from our class, point them this way. We would like to at least have their email on file so we can continue to communicate in the future as needed. If you know their email you can send them an invite from the home page (bottom right).

I'm trying to get more pics up, but my race car project (vintage road racing) is in full swing now, so I'm running out of hours. Since you're into cars, check out my site www.NoNameRacing.com.

I see you're signed up, so I'll see you at the reunion.

Please let's not forget Earth, Wind and Fire (isn't that right Joella?). Remember our Prom theme song was their tune "Victory", and a lot of their stuff accompanied the girl's volleyball, basketball & softball team shenanigans. I'm trying to remember the different music playing at those house parties where one crowd was upstairs "sipping" and another crown was downstairs "puffing". I, of course, was just an observant visitor ;) back then.

Shelli Bendtsen Tippett

Jehan....I think I was upstairs sipping????? But let's not forget Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles!!! I remember running in indoor track to Hotel California!!!!!

Jane Mutchler Jehan Ghuari

Shelli,
Doesn't it seem like the music then was a lot better than what the so-called "top" generated lists indicate? I definately would include Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles too. I saw Dave Tweedt logged into the updated list. I bet he has some interesting music memories...I think I saw him in the "downstairs" crowd a few times (sorry to out you Tweedt, maybe I'm mistaken)...well, when I visited there just as the class leader...LOL

Oh! ya! I'm here going to need some James Taylor. Glad I don't have to D.J. but can we still bring our ipods to help? Let's see Chris Nelsen will need some RUSH, Mark Barthel a little Elvis Costello, Tim Getty the Tubes, Mike Nelson if he shows up Grover Washington JR then during dinner Bob Hammond will want to hear Gino Vannelli. Tom Kachian will want something from the tri-pods wait that's just not right

04/24/09 12:33 AM     #27     EDIT     DELETE

Jane Mutchler Jehan Ghuari

OK, JoElla, "Fantasy" and not "Victory". Isn't the word victory in those lyrics a lot? Tweedt? Why does everyone have such varied memories of you? That's so cool. I see you sitting on a log in a yard with a bonfire of sorts. Where is Mike (Mr. Mike's grandson)?

Karl is living in Chicago, I've seen him a couple of times over the past couple of years. He owns a business that sells European antiques. The store is called P.O.S.H. You should be able to find it online. He's doing great!

Jehan,

I like My Sharona!! Has anyone planned anything informal for Friday the 28th? If not, I've been known to hang out at Coasters, 1301 North Main Street. I could arrange for a half-barrel or something. It's a nice place, big, nice people and a few gambling machines.
Just a thought.

Nice website, Steve.

Hi Everyone - We have everything set for Saturday night - We are looking for ideas on a place for Friday night - I know Coasters has been suggested - I heard it gets crowded on Fridays - will it be able to handle the additional crowd? I also heard the Spinnakers
at 2 Christopher Columbus
Racine, WI 53403-1055

(262) 633-8250?
might be a nice place.
Majority rules on this. Take care Sara

I checked with Spinakers and they would definately be able to accomodate any size group...they serve food until 10pm, have 2 inside bars and a beautiful outside bar (weather permitting) on a deck. They have pool tables, darts, video machines, pull tabs, etc and a large parking area. They said after 8pm would work great for them. Like Sara said, majority rules, if someone has another idea lets see what works for everyone!
