Russell A. O'Claire

RACINE - Russell A. O'Claire, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Russell was born in Racine January 7, 1943, son of the late Arthur and Marge (nee: Mahaffy) O'Claire and had been a lifelong resident. On June 8, 1963, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Russell was united in marriage to Roberta 'Bobbie' Rehbein. Russell was a Parts Manager at various car dealerships, first working at Don Hudson for 24 years, then Roger Palmen Motors, and was last working at Frank Boucher until his retirement in 2004. He was past President and Transportation Manager for the Racine Kiltie Kadets in the 1970's. Russ worked on cars all of his life and had a special interest in Corvairs and El Caminos and also enjoyed collecting and restoring gas pumps. With this ability, he helped many friends and family. He also helped his daughter with repairs on her residence in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie; children, Jeffery O'Claire, Debbie (Brett) McDonald, Sandra O'Claire; grandchildren, Jessica and Kristofer McDonald, Matthew and Melissa O'Claire; sister, Carol (Ed) Laughlin, all of Racine; nieces, a nephew, other relatives, and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his son, Russell; and his special uncle, Ken Mahaffy. Memorial service will be held at the funeral home Friday, February 17, 2006, 7 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Friday from 4 p.m. until time of services.
