I was very saddened to learn of Alex's death...I did not know until early March.

Alex was a genuinely good person. He was a gentleman and a scholar.

My heart goes out to his wife, Sandra, his children, grandchildren and brother.

Sincerely, Jackie Logan

I was unaware of Alex's passing until today. He was, indeed, a gentleman, an outstanding football player, and a proud member of Broughton's award-winning band. An integral part of our Alma Mater's heritage has left this mortal earth to join the celestial band.

I just learned of Alex's passing.   I want to express my sympathies to Sandy and the kids.   I visited with them many times when they lived in the Lake Norman area.  Alex was a great guy!
