Linda Goodwin Amick, 69, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Guilford County on July 15, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ray Emmett and Susie Williams Goodwin. Mrs. Amick was an active member of Selma Baptist Church for over 40 years and was an administrative assistant in the office at Selma Elementary School for over 20 years. She was an avid gardener and a member of the Seedy Characters Gardening Club.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Selma Baptist Church with burial following in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her husband, Charles B. Amick; sons Michael Amick and wife Bambi of Garner and Brian Amick of Atlanta, GA; sisters Betsy Pearce and Nancy Bailey of Clayton; and grandchildren Jared, Samantha, Blake and Julieanne.
