Mr. David Lamar Frady age 75, of McDonough passed away November 19, 2018 from complications related to Asbestosis and COPD. He was born on March 3, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Mary Everette Wilkie and Oliver Vanderbilt Frady, Jr. Mr. Frady was inducted as an Eagle Scout in 1961. He  graduated from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC in 1961, nicknamed “Curly”. He served in the U.S Navy on the U.S.S Beatty as a seaman apprentice from 1963-1966. He retired in 1995 from the United States Government with a combined  27 years of service including U.S. Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, United States Post Office, US Customs, and  the Department of Veteran Affairs. He was a hard-working, dedicated, loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by wife of 27 years: Sandra Hughes Frady. Surviving children are a Daughter Jennifer Frady Sims (Mark) of McDonough, son Daniel Lamar Frady (Sue) of Acworth, brother: Oliver V Frady III of Raleigh,  nieces: Karen Frady DeLong and Amy Frady, grandchildren: Davis Ashley Frady of Jacksonville, Brandon Riley Frady of Acworth, Tanner Harris McKenzie, Tatum Leigh McKenzie, Hallie Sims and Sebastian Sims all of McDonough. A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Mr. Scott Gregory officiating.
