Bob was his own man. After graduating from NCSU, a friend Steve Robertson( co-founder of This End Up Furniture) set out to build a ferrous cement sailboat at his father's construction company, Brentwood in north Raleigh. I'm not sure if it was ever sea worthy but it gave many of us plenty stories and observations following the construction of this vessel. Later, Bob became quite an accomplished carpenter and fix it guy with many customers in the Raleigh area. May he RIP.
