Tommy lived at the corner of Ridge Road and Westmoreland, a short bike ride from my childhood home in Beckanna. He had an amateur chemistry lab in his basement where we would make explosives and sparklers after school. We were friends throughout Martin and Broughton. I met him again at the NBHS reunion in 1997 and was impressed with the personal charm and manner he had developed over the years. I understood he died from metastatic cancer, a difficult and painful condition; but he was with family and friends. All the best wishes to his children.
