Michael T. Brooks, 42, died Monday, October 10, 2011.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Brooks of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Michele A. Brooks of Raleigh, NC; his father and stepmother, Ed Brooks and Cheryl Stewart of Marietta, GA; one sister, Kelly Brooks Jones and her husband, Jeff of Raleigh, NC; four nieces and nephews, Ollie, Ana, Rusi, Lula; grandmother, Doris Hummel of Raleigh, NC.

Mike and Susan were avid pet rescuers sometimes caring for up to 5 rescued pets at a time.

We are saddened by Mike's untimely passing and he will be truly missed!
