Lyn and I were married after graduation in 1966 and she has been taking care of me ever since. She's smart, fun and attractive and most importantly puts up with a lot from me.

I came back to Raleigh in 1967 and over the next four plus decades worked with savvy partners and associates to help build a consulting an investment banking firm for the engineering and construction industries.

Along the way I dabbled in real estate development and operations. Today I have some interest in VC.

Our son has built an extraordinarily successful marketing communications company, as well as other interesting ventures. His two sons, 15 and 13 are top notch students and athletes.

Our daughter manages an exciting household with a 15, 14 and 12 year old...all naturally beautiful/handsome, intelligent and talented. Her husband heads a prominent real estate development company that also manages a real estate portfolio.

I like to travel.

Being on multiple boards is a challenge and stimulating effort.

Had my career round in golf two weeks ago. That's not saying too much.

Other than a challenging knee, my health is good.
