After N.C. State, worked two years, then went to Harvard Business School for two years, earning an M.B.A. in 1969. (In the midst of all this, I also enlisted in the Army Reserve program serving 6 months on active duty and 6 years on reserve duty. Oh joy.)

Moved to Dallas, TX beginning work in public accounting. Moved to Houston, TX in 1973, where I have lived ever since. Initially worked in financial management jobs with two public oil and gas companies. Eventually started (in 1991) my own boutique investment banking firm, Crutchfield Capital Corporation (See www.crutchfieldcapital.com). Retired from the Firm in 2007; Firm continues in operation today.

Married Libby Morrison (Meredith College) summer after graduation from State. We later divorced. Never remarried (though I have come close a couple of times!).

Over the years have developed a number of hobbies and interests including being an avid sailor, a hiker, a traveler and a voracious reader. Have now managed to visit all 50 states and have almost completed visiting every National Park in the continental U.S. Am an avid workout/exercise guy including daily cycling and swimming.

Have done a terrible job in keeping up with all my Sigma Chi buddies from so long ago, not least because I live so far away from N.C. So…I am very excited about seeing lots of you again!!
