Leigh and I were engaged after our third date and married after our junior year. After 44 years of marriage we are still best friends.

After graduation I went to work for Burlington Industries in Forest City, NC and then PPG in Shelby before moving home to Savannah, Georgia, to join our family material handling equipment company. This led me to Charleston, SC to run that division. When that business was sold, I found my true calling with residential real estate. When I turned 65 last January, a friend asked how long I planned to work. I told him I would reevaluate at 75.

Leigh and I have been blessed with a beautiful daughter Farrah who fulfilled my water skiing dream as a National Champion slalom skier at 18 and then third in the world on the wake board pro tour. She has recently joined our real estate team. Farrah has blessed us with 2 amazing grandsons, Porter 8 and Drew 7, who love the outdoors and live only 4 houses away just down the street.

Leigh and I love to travel, cook of course with a great bottle of wine and are fortunate to live on the water where we enjoy beautiful sunsets and boating. Unfortunately, Leigh has cystic fibrosis; however, even though she has out lived all the odds, she handles it with amazing grace which I feel certain has a lot to do with our very strong faith.
