After graduating from NC State, I went into the Army and got my MBA from UNC. My first job out of MBA school was with Arthur Andersen as an audit manager for 5 years. I then joined a subsidiary of the Sea Pines Company at their Brandermill project in Richmond, Virginia. I next joined Trammell Crow Residential where I was a partner for 17 years building apartment communities in the southern tier of the U.S. In 1998, I formed my own apartment development company, Wood Partners. I sold half of it to CBREI in 2008 and am now mostly retired.

I am married to Carla O’Neill Wood and we just celebrated our 44th anniversary.

I enjoy golf, fishing, bird hunting, hiking, travel and wine, although not necessarily in that order!
