Carolyn “Carol” Holt Pigott

Carol received her last wish when she died at home in the company of her beloved husband, Barry, of 47 years.

Carol chose to face her diagnosis of brain tumors, her two and a half year treatment, and her death with unfailing grace, courage, and humor. She made this choice, in part, to provide caring and healing for her family and friends that will continue for years to come.

We are all grateful for the remarkable gifts and inspiration that she provided in life, and in death.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward LeRoy Holt. She is survived by her husband Barry, children Angela and her husband Michael, and son Jeffrey; mother Mildred Holt; sisters Jenny Ferrell and LeAnne Madjar.

A funeral service will held at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh at 10 am on Thursday June 7. The family will receive visitors at Trinity Methodist Church immediately following the service until 12:30pm.
