COLUMBIA - Services for Rev. Ben James McCollum, Jr., of 3719 Sidney Rd., will be held noon Tuesday at Brookland Baptist Church, with burial in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Visitation is 7:00 p.m. today at Palmer Memorial Chapel. Rev. McCollum died Friday, April 3, 2009.

Born in Raleigh, NC, he was the son of the late Ben Sr. and Ella Gary McCollum. He was a graduate of NC A&T, and did post-graduate ministerial education at the University of SC, the Columbia International Seminary and the Kingdom of Vision Institute. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.

Surviving are his wife, Marie Jones-McCollum; children, Ben III, Adrian, Aneka, Alphonso, Decker, Bridget, Jessica, and Jacob; brothers, William T., George F. and Robert A.; sisters, Almeta, Brenda and Deborah; and grandchildren.
