Dianne "Dee" Seymour Forgy, 63, of Rebel Run, Morganton, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

Born in Goldsboro on May 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Russell Seymour and Hazel Council Seymour.

Dee was a resident of Burke County since 1978. She was an RN at Grace Hospital Intensive Care Unit for many years and later worked at Grace Ridge Health Care Center until she was forced to retire in 2002 due to an illness. Dee was a graduate of the U.N.C. Nursing School.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Keith Forgy of the home; daughters, Kelli F. Martinez of High Point, and Kristi F. Whitley of Durham; grandchildren, Ryan and Bryce Martinez and Tucker Whitley; a brother, Roddy Seymour and wife, Susan, of Greenville; and she also was loved by her parents-in-law, Byron and Jean Forgy; and her sister-in-law, Kathy Pitts and husband, Randy.

A celebration of Dee's life was held Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at W.F.U.B.M.C., Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
